Made in WA to Australian Standards, the new Provincial and Conquest have been innovatively designed to offer the sleek and sophisticated look of a concrete pool, in a fibreglass form.

With a squarer radius than many other fibreglass pools, the Provincial and Conquest can be fitted with modern square-edge paving, to achieve a contemporary appearance previously only available in concrete.

Western Australia boasts some of the world’s most beautiful beaches and right here in Perth we are fortunate to have the beaches of Cottesloe, Hillarys and many others as a recreational playground.

With the beach as a way of life, many West Australian’s are now turning to the ocean for inspiration when designing their swimming pool and outdoor area.

The seaside location of Hillarys was inspiration enough for the owners of this spectacular fibreglass swimming pool. After a busy day at work, the owners wanted to feel like they were on holiday, away from their busy schedules, every time they arrived home.

While the International Association for Pool and Spa Professionals (APSP) Awards for Excellence were held in Las Vegas, many miles away from their home in Melville Western Australia, this did not stop the Clark family’s swimming pool from winning gold in the category of Residential Fibreglass Pools.

Maximising the available space was an issue for the Clark family as the pool was being built on a strata block. Backyard space has become an issue today with many homes being built on smaller blocks, in closer proximity to the Perth CBD.

“The shape of the pool worked well with the area…one and a half metres was left around the pool and there was even room for a sitting area” says the owner of the gold-winning pool, Deonne Clark.

Owners of narrower backyards often find it difficult to landscape their dream outdoor area within a limited space. Luckily, the owners of this feature backyard in Mt Pleasant knew a thing or two about construction and design from experience in the building industry, and combined this with professional help from Sapphire Pools and a landscape company, to help them create an amazing pool and outdoor area that maximises the available space.

The design of the backyard had to work around the skillfully positioned swimming pool that was purposefully positioned to face south east so it is never in full shade.

The Regency fibreglass model from Sapphire Pools is 7.8m in length and 3.4m wide, offering a generous swimming space with enough room to also include a lawn and decking area at either end. The pool doesn’t have a shallow end, as the depth of the entire swimming pool is a moderate 1.5m with entry areas in all four corners of the pool.
